AUSTIN (KXAN) — Who doesn’t love free things? From live music to parades and fireworks, here’s a guide to free Independence Day events throughout Central Texas.

Fourth of July events are happening across Central Texas in Bastrop, Blanco, Buda, Burnet, Hays, Travis and Williamson County.

Travis County

Austin Symphony H-E-B July Fourth Concert & Fireworks

Music will be provided by the Austin Symphony Orchestra and the firework show starts at 9:30 p.m. over Lady Bird Lake.

Fireworks in Austin can still be enjoyed from afar— local parks like Zilker, Rock Island and Deep Eddy are open to sit on the lawn and enjoy the shows, according to the city of Austin. The show can also be seen from the South First Street Bridge, the Congress Avenue Bridge or the Pfluger Pedestrian Bridge.

Independence Day Pfireworks

  • Location: Typhoon Texas, in the field next to the waterpark
  • Time: Fireworks start at 9 p.m. Viewing all across Pflugerville

The field is located at the intersection of State Highway 130 and Pflugerville Parkway. Fireworks should be viewable from all over the city, according to the Pflugerville website.

Hill Country Galleria Independence Day Festival

  • Location: Hill Country Galleria
  • Time: 4 p.m. to 10 p.m.

Admission and parking are free, according to their website. Festival-goers can enjoy live music in the central plaza, fair rides, water games and complimentary face painting. The fireworks will begin “when it gets dark.”

Volente Beach Fireworks Show

  • Location: Volente Beach at Lake Travis
  • Time: 9 to 9:30 p.m.

The fireworks show can be viewed on the water by boat.

Williamson County

Sertoma Club Fourth of July Celebration

  • Location: San Gabriel Park in Georgetown
  • Time: Parade starts at 11 a.m. fireworks show starts at 9:30 p.m.

Limited parking is available at the site, parking at Georgetown High School is encouraged by the city. There will be live entertainment, arts and craft vendors, a petting zoo, food/drink vendors, games and rides.

Cedar Park July Fourth Celebration

  • Location: Elizabeth Milburn Park
  • Time: 5 to 11:30 p.m.

There will be no onsite parking, nearby parking is recommended at Cedar Park Middle and High School, according to their website. There will be carnival rides, inflatables, concessions, live music, fireworks and a movie screening afterwards.

Round Rock Fourth of July Parade & Frontier Days

  • Location: Round Rock Mays Street and Old Settlers Park
  • Time: Parade starts at 8:30 a.m. celebration at Old Settlers Park starts at noon

After the parade, families can enjoy carnival rides, pig racing, live music and a pepper-eating contest.

Taylor Parade and Festivities

After the parade, there will be food and drink vendors set up all day in Murphy Park. Live Music starts at 7 p.m. and the firework show will begin at sunset.

Hutto Fourth of July Celebration

  • Location: Brushy Creek Amphitheater
  • Time: 5 to 9:15 p.m.

This celebration will feature live music, kids entertainment, local food vendors and fireworks at night.

Burnet County

Marble Falls Fourth of July Parade and Fireworks

  • Parade Location: From Johnson Park to the intersection of Main Street and 6th Street
  • Fireworks Location: Lakeside Park, 305 Buena Vista Drive
  • Time: The parade begins at 9 a.m. and the fireworks begin at 9:15 p.m. with the celebration at Lakeside Park kicking off at 5 p.m.

For those looking to beat the heat, Lakeside Pool will be offering a free swim day from 12 p.m. until 5 p.m.

Fireworks Over Lake LBJ

  • Location: Horseshoe Bay Resort.

Resort guests will get a front row seat to the Fireworks Over Lake LBJ spectacular on the evening of July 4. Non-guests in the Horseshoe Bay area can still follow along with synchronized music free of charge by tuning in to The Stinger on 102.9 FM.

Kingsland AquaBoom

  • Location: The Bridge on 2900 on the Llano River

Kingsland kicks off its three-day community celebration with a fireworks display that can be seen all over town. KBEY 103.9 FM is offering a synchronized broadcast for those viewers missing the party at the bridge.

Hays County

Red White & Buda

The Red White & Buda Fourth of July Celebration lasts all day, beginning with a bike parade and ending with a firework sendoff. Spectators can gather on the Great Lawn in City Park to hear live music at 7:30 p.m. and to watch the fireworks at 9:15 p.m.

Kyle’s Independence Day Fireworks Show

  • Location: La Verde Park
  • Time: Celebration begins at 5 p.m. and fireworks show begins at 9:15 p.m.

The City of Kyle marks the Fourth of July in La Verde Park with its Independence Day Celebration Fireworks Show. The family-friendly free celebration features live music, market and food vendors, and a community countdown to the fireworks.

San Marcos July Fourth Fireworks Show

San Marcos celebrates Independence Day with a city-wide fireworks demonstration. The display can be seen from the parking lots of the San Marcos Activity Center, City Park, Bobcat Stadium, and the San Marcos Public library.

Blanco County

Johnson City Fireworks at Fairgrounds

Fourth of July festivities begin downtown at 10 a.m. with a parade around the county courthouse. The fireworks show is free of charge, but be sure to pack your own cooler, lawn chairs, and snacks.

Bastrop County

Annual Big Bang Celebration

  • Location: Fisherman’s Park
  • Time: Saturday, June 29 from 6 p.m. to 9 p.m.

Bastrop fires up for the Fourth of July a few days early with its Annual Big Bang Celebration this upcoming Saturday. Along with the fireworks show, the city-wide celebration includes the Bastrop Pet & Pal Parade beginning at 8:30 a.m. followed by a traditional parade at 10 a.m.
