AUSTIN (KXAN) — Pflugerville ISD said it would offer open breakfast and lunches to children this summer.

The summer meals program is available to any child under the age of 18. Registration is not required.

“Summer is an exciting time for kids to enjoy playtime with friends, a week at camp, a family vacation, or time at the pool. However, for many children who receive free or reduced-price meals at school, summer can mean hunger. Just as learning doesn’t end when school ends, neither does a child’s need for good nutrition,” this district said.
