AUSTIN, Texas – The Travis County Sheriff’s Office says it has secured a fentanyl-related murder warrant in connection to a 2024 homicide in Pflugerville.
TCSO says it’s the first fentanyl-related murder warrant it has filed at the state level.
The backstory:
On August 4, 2024, Travis County deputies responded to a call to the 3300 block of Killingsworth Lane in Pflugerville.
Upon arrival, deputies found 22-year-old Raymundo Silva, Jr. lying on the floor.
CPR was administered until medics and the fire department arrived, but it was unsuccessful and Silva, Jr. was pronounced dead at the scene.
Deputies seized a round, blue pill which later tested presumptively positive for fentanyl.

An autopsy was conducted by the Travis County Medical Examiner’s Office on Aug. 5, 2024, determining the cause of death to be toxic effects of fentanyl, cocaine, ethanol and quetiapine.
Detectives identified Noe Arrellano-Perez, 21, as Silva’s potential supplier of the drugs, or “percs.”
Arrellano-Perez was booked in the Travis County Jail on Sept. 2, 2024, on unrelated charges.
TCSO’s case remained active, and detectives were able to obtain evidence that placed Arrellano-Perez in the area of Silva’s residence on the night of his death along with correspondence between him and Silva indicating the delivery of the pills.
What’s next:
As of February 4, 2025, Arrellano-Perez remains in TCSO custody charged with murder, a first-degree felony.
